PL Poly V-Belt 4.70 mm

TranBelt supplies poly-V belts (also called friction or ribbed belts) that combine the advantages of flat belts and V-belts. The PL/L series belts have longitudinal ribs that ensure high tensile strength and up to 98% power transmission, as the wedges keep the belt centered in the pulley.

Despite their high power, these belts are very flexible, making them suitable for small pulleys up to Ø180 mm, rotated drives, and compact setups. They are reinforced with fiberglass and made of durable neoprene, 6.6 mm thick, which absorbs shocks and vibrations for quieter operation. The material is oil-resistant, antistatic (ISO 1813), and works in temperatures from -25°C to +100°C.

TranBelt offers PL/L series belts with a 4.70 mm pitch and standard widths from 3 to 12 ribs, lengths from 952 to 5080 mm. More ribs mean higher tensile strength and more power transmission. These belts can be used in high-speed drives up to 50 m/sec and extreme gear ratios up to 1:40.

Common applications include high-pressure cleaners, piston compressors, grain mills, escalators, crushers, brick machines, and more. Optional coatings are available to improve running properties and reduce noise.
