Description
The Mitsuboshi XL timing belt is made of chloroprene rubber (CR), giving it good flexibility and resilience under mechanical stress. Its core reinforcement uses glass‑fiber cords, which maintain dimensional stability and provide strong tensile strength without excessive stretching. For the tooth surface or backing, a nylon fabric is used to reduce wear and friction during engagement with pulleys. In some versions (the “bare‑back” XL), the tooth‑fabric has minimal rubber impregnation to reduce rubber dust generation.

This XL-profile belt delivers stable synchronous power transmission with relatively low noise, making it a solid choice when you don’t want a chain or gear drive. It supports a working temperature range roughly from –30 °C to +90 °C, and in typical designs, its maximum linear speed can reach up to 30 m/s (for some belt sizes). Because of its trapezoidal “G-type” tooth design and the robust materials, it handles moderate loads well and is reasonably low‑maintenance. Its bare-back versions are especially useful in applications where rubber dust needs to be minimized, since there’s less rubber on the tooth surface.
