The STS S5M belt belongs to Bando’s Super Torque Synchronous line, designed for high‑performance power transmission applications. It features a 5.0 mm tooth pitch (“S5M”), engineered to transmit higher torques while maintaining compact dimensions.

The belt is built with a neoprene rubber backing, helically wound glass‑fibre tension members, neoprene‑moulded teeth, and a wear‑resistant nylon‑fabric covering. This construction enables quiet operation, stable running characteristics (minimising the polygon effect), long service life and maintenance‑free usage.
STS S5M belts are suitable for demanding synchronous drives previously handled by chains or gears. They allow smaller, narrower drive arrangements due to their higher power‑transmission capacity — enabling compact machine designs.
